The Forever West Songwriter Festival is a unique celebration of music and western heritage featuring legendary songwriters Anthony Smith, Wynn Varble, Brice Long, Wyatt McCubbin, Cameron Wrinkle, David Lee, Jeesee Lee, and special guest Cory Leone Johnson. These artists have written hits for the likes of Brad Paisley, Lonestar, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Chris Young, Hank Williams Jr, Reba McEntire, and Chris Stapleton.
This year, in addition to the evening performance featuring award-winning hit-makers, we have added a special afternoon songwriter's workshop that will allow guests to interact with songwriters in an intimate forum in the WYO Theater's Mars Black Box. Tickets for the evening performance include admission to the songwriter's workshop.
SPEAR-O WIGWAM
Spear-O-Wigwam is located in the Bighorn National Forest at 8,300-feet above sea level. It serves as a gateway to Coffeen Park, Geneva & Edelman Passes, the Solitude Trail, and the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. The pristine high mountain lakes, reservoirs, streams and clean air around Spear-O add to its remarkable allure.
Spear-O’s main lodge has a dining hall, kitchen, library, and a great room with a towering fireplace fireplace. The 16 acre campus has 11 cabins with a total sleeping capacity of 57, classroom/meeting room, horse corrals, and several outbuildings. In addition, Spear-O maintains a backcountry camp at Beaver Lakes, which is reached by horse-back ride or hike from the main resort.
THE WYO THEATER
The WYO was originally built in 1923 as the Lotus, a vaudeville theater. The theater entertained Sheridan families for nearly 60 years with both live performances and films before closing its doors in 1982.
Since reopening in 1989 as a road house, the WYO has brought countless hours of live entertainment, cultural enrichment, and educational opportunities to the greater Sheridan community.
THE SOD FARM FESTIVAL
The 2022 Sod Farm Festival Is Here!
Sheridan’s Sod Farm Festival, based in Sheridan, Wyoming, is a music festival that focuses on local Sheridan artists. We have a passion for supporting nonprofits and proceeds will be donated to a few selected local organizations. Previous festival events have raised over $15,000 to support nonprofits. Our annual festival welcomes many artists during a one-evening concert that sees hundreds of people coming out under the August summer sun.
